When our hearts are led toward living our whole lives for the Lord in Heaven, shouldn't we be working toward glorifying the Lord in all that we do. Jesus Christ is our example of the perfect life, sin was absent from his life. Sin is not glorifying to the Lord, therefore we should be withdrawing it from our lives in order to become as close to holiness as humanly possible.
"Ascribe to the Lord the glory due his name; worship the Lord in the splender of his holiness."
-Psalm 29:2
Our God has professed to us how glorious he is through all he has done for us , I mean seriously, not only does he give us breath, but he sent his only son down to earth in order to forgive our sins.
"But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us." -Romans 5:8
The GOSPEL: "3For what I received I passed on to you as of first importance: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, 4that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures, 5and that he appeared to Peter, and then to the Twelve. 6After that, he appeared to more than five hundred of the brothers at the same time, most of whom are still living, though some have fallen asleep. 7Then he appeared to James, then to all the apostles, 8and last of all he appeared to me also, as to one abnormally born."
Our God is awesome, he deserves all our praise. Around a month ago I was talking to my amazing spiritual growth partner Vanessa and we were talking about how many things we do daily that are not praising the Lord or lifting up his name. I think that many times it is out of laziness that we are not glorifying the Lord. Say I just got home from the beach and decide oh its around 4:30 i am tired I ' ve had a long day soaking in the sun, I think I will rest and watch some TV. This is horrible, because I could of whipped out my bible, or gone on to Proverb of the Day, or read one of the books I am reading on godly relationships. The Lord does not like sluggards or slackers, he wants the whole hearted people who desire and are willing to glorify Him in all they do. Don't you want to do what God wants for you to? I know I do.
Worship is an amazing way to glorify the Lord and lift up his Holy name.
"Sing to the Lord, for he has done glorious things; let this be known to all the world."
Isaiah 12:1
It is so hard to fathom how great our God is, but please step back and think about it and I pray that it will lead you toward desiring to demolish the sins that are keeping you from glorifying the Lord in all that we do. I know that we can all work on this, because we are all sinners. Working toward living a life as close as we possibly can to Jesus' should be our lifestyle.
"The LORD your God is with you, he is mighty to save. He will take great delight in you, he will quiet you with his love, he will rejoice over you with singing." -Zephaniah 3:17 "Therefore, prepare your minds for action; be self-controlled; set your hope fully on the grace to be given you when Jesus Christ is revealed." -1 Peter 1:13

Oh man!!! That was definitly a good blog. And you are right, we need to glorify the Lord in ALL we do, not just some, but in ALL we do. And I like the way you said it is so hard to fathom our God, not only is it hard, but we will never truly fathom our God, because well.... He is unfathomable, this blog was definitly inspiring and has encouraged me to only glorify the Lord some more, I look forward to some more of those encouraging words.

Good job Sarah!!!
This was deffinately an amazing blog :]
Everything you said was dead on, and I really liked the examples that you used!
You're certainly a talented writer, so keep em coming!
P.S your blog really inspired me to start being more active in God's word rather than being lazy and watching tv :]
Regarding the last sentence of the first paragraph, one word: Sanctification. (Stand on soapbox) And for everyone, I hope that it is becoming clear to everyone that laziness is bad! Seize the Summer! Glorify God and grow closer to Him by reading His Word instead of watching TV. He is eternal. TV shows last a couple of years if they're lucky. Praise the Lord for He is good. Not Spongebob. Your very right Sarah, he did give us life and we need to get as far away from sin as we can to be more like Him! Sweet blog, can't wait for more in the future :)

Right on Sarah! It is so important to live our lives to glorify God in EVERYTHING we do daily, even down to the small things. No matter how hard it might get, we are called to be holy and set apart for Him. So encouraging...and what is even more i seeing how deeply you are falling in love with our Savior. <3
Sarah, Way to go in getting a blog!
A hearty amen to us glorifying God in everything we do!
I also liked the part about not be a sluggard. This is definitely something we are going to be talking about in the Best Summer Ever series!
